Most of the 14 business modules consist of three-day seminars at one of the ZEBS locations. Lecturers send in advance via Email preparation material for the MBA courses and each fellow is given ca. four weeks to complete the course preparation, with the flexibility to study at times that best suit her/his personal and professional life.

During the business courses then taking place at the ZEBS locations students delve further into each topic and deepen their knowledge through a variety of educational tools such as case studies, simulation games and group projects.

The students receive additional support from tutors within ZEBS's network.
